Is your home feeling a little lacklustre? Well then, this one is for you. We thought we’d take a different approach to our style tips blog post this week, as we sat down with our room set stylist Samantha Estelle. Samantha is an expert when it comes to styling room sets. She has used her stylistic touch to incorporate an on-trend look with our brand-new Paris mirrored furniture. If you haven’t seen the new sets then go ahead and check them out.

Whenever new products or ranges arrive at the door here at Lifestyle, the excitement begins to build. And when it comes to new mirrored ranges being delivered the anticipation builds even more. That’s because our mirrored furniture products are something, we’re really proud of, as we know how much you all love it, and it isn’t hard to see why.

This is why we get experts like Samantha to help us create stunning room sets that will leave you inspired. For the Paris set, Sam wanted to “create a room full of rich colours”. That’s why Sam has gone with deep dark blues and soft pink. The contrasting colours of the blue and softer pink bring a calming touch to this room. A style tip from Sam – “Ruby’s, Emerald’s and Amber hues should be paired with softer tones to help create a stunning space.” This stunning contrast in colours is seen up and down the country, in peoples homes and on the high street.

PANTONE COLOUR OF THE YEAR

Samantha picked the pink and blue colourways because “In 2016, Pantone announced their colour of the year was Rose Quartz (pastel pink) and Serenity (pastel blue), this was the introduction of the dynamic duo being used together.” Ever since this moment, this duo has been paired together. And it's not just in interior fashion that this deadly duo has been seen together, with fashion retailers also keen to couple up the pink and blue hues. We love the colours that have been used on this set as it brings a high-end look that’s really achievable for you guys in your homes.

The Paris collection features a whole range of mirrored products. With console tables, dressing tables, bedside cabinets and more. This is why our room set had to have a style expert, as it inspires you, the reader to create a similar look in your home.

Creating a room set that looks both on-trend and natural is one of the difficulties of being a set designer. Samantha uses her experience to create a look that is relatable. Using the Pampas grass this natural look is achieved. Stylists up and down the country use Pampas grass because “Its large size means it’s perfect for floor vases to add a little statement piece which is what this style is all about!” Pampas grass isn’t the only inclusion to bring this set to life, as the use of bright flower arrangements gives added depth to the Paris set.

OUR FAVOURITE ROOM SET

We asked Samantha, what her favourite piece within this room set was. Samantha pondered on this question, as she had so much to choose from, but eventually, she told us she “loves how the Blue and the Pink contrast yet complement each other effortlessly to create an elegant theme that really sets the Paris furniture as a higher-end range.” We totally agree. This room set is one of our faves from the many different room sets we have done down the years – Thanks a lot Samantha! So, where does this room set leave you? Well, you don’t need to worry about decorating just the bedroom, as the colourways used can be adapted, so they can be used all over your home. Another style tip – “it can be applied to any room throughout the house; bedroom, kitchen, living room or hallway.” With this style tip from Sam, you can implement this look, or one similar in your own home.

We’d like to thank Sam for her help, not just with styling the room set, but also with her time to sit with us and chat about the styles she has picked for this stunning room set. We’re sure we’ll be speaking with Sam again soon – so lookout for the next interview.
